About brunch around Utrecht Centraal
Utrecht Centraal is the busiest railway station in the Netherlands, with Hoog Catharijne shopping centre right above it. For a proper sit-down brunch — sugar-free pancakes, eggs, sourdough toasts, a hip-hop vibe — it's a pleasant 10-minute walk east through Stadhuisbrug and Neude into the historic centre to MOAK.
The Neude itself is one of Utrecht's main squares, surrounded by the old post office (now the central library), with the Domtoren a 5-minute stroll further. A good place to start a morning in town.
Walking from Utrecht Centraal to MOAK Neude
From the Centrumzijde exit (toward Hoog Catharijne): walk east through the shopping mall, exit onto Lange Viestraat. Continue east → Neude square → Vinkenburgstraat (small street just off the Neude). About 10 minutes.
From the Stationsplein side: leave the station, walk east via Stationsstraat → Lange Viestraat. About 12 minutes.
By bike: 4-5 minutes via Lange Viestraat. Bike racks on the Neude.

The little things you'll notice at MOAK
A few details we put real thought into:
- Vinyl R&B, all day. Throwback hip-hop and R&B from the '70s to now — real records on a real turntable. No streaming algorithm picking your background.
- Slow-pressed juices. We use a slow juicer for every juice. Slower and more expensive than a centrifugal juicer, but keeps the enzymes and colour intact. Most cafés skip this.
- Local farm eggs. Sourced from Dutch farms. You can taste it in our scrambled eggs and brunch plates.
- Sourdough by Bakkerij Louf. Bread delivered fresh every morning, hand-proofed 18–20 hours.
- Real Belgian chocolate. Homemade chocolate sauce made with real Callebaut chocolate on The Infamous — our Daily Paper collab pancake.
- Saffron pistachio ice cream. Our own secret recipe. Try it on The Ice Ice Baby (vegan), The Blue Magic Deluxe, or The Mancake.
- The Golddigger. One per hour, by request: a stack of blueberry pancakes with 22-karat gold leaves on a Versace plate, served with Luc Belaire Rosé champagne on the side.
