Halal Pancakes & Brunch Dishes at MOAK Amsterdam

Six MOAK dishes are halal, marked with an H on the menu — built around halal-certified BBQ shredded chicken and halal-certified Turkish sucuk (slow-fermented, gently spiced sausage). Available at all three MOAK locations: Amsterdam City Center, De Pijp and Utrecht Neude.

The H-marked dishes range from sweet-savoury combinations on fluffy pancakes (The NWA, The Bubba Sparkxxx) to scrambled-eggs-in-the-pan plates (The Tupac, The Message) and toast variants (The Oh Boyyy, The Spice). All served daily 08:30 to 15:30, walk-in only.

Every H-marked dish is built on halal-certified ingredients — our BBQ shredded chicken and Turkish sucuk both come from halal-certified suppliers. Halal-eating guests are always welcome at MOAK; just look for the H on the menu.

The NWA — Combination Plate

BBQ shredded chicken, scrambled eggs with cheddar, avocado, chives, crème fraîche, BBQ sauce. Served with two fluffy buttermilk pancakes or toasted Louf sourdough — your choice.

The Tupac — Eggs in the Pan

Chopped tomatoes, halal Turkish sucuk, bell pepper, three eggs, chives, feta cheese, olive oil, chilli oregano mix. Served with toasted Louf sourdough.

The Message — Eggs in the Pan

Chopped tomatoes, BBQ shredded chicken, three eggs, chives, crème fraîche, BBQ sauce. Served with toasted Louf sourdough.

The Bubba Sparkxxx — Fluffy Pancakes

BBQ shredded chicken, avocado, crème fraîche, BBQ sauce, chives, on fluffy sugar-free buttermilk pancakes.

The Oh Boyyy — Sourdough Toast

BBQ shredded chicken, avocado, crème fraîche, BBQ sauce, chives, on toasted Louf sourdough.

The Spice — Sourdough Toast

Halal Turkish sucuk, scrambled eggs with cheddar, bell pepper, feta cheese, chives, olive oil, on toasted Louf sourdough.

  • BBQ shredded chicken — halal-certified, slow-cooked in BBQ sauce in-house. Used in The NWA, The Bubba Sparkxxx, The Message and The Oh Boyyy.
  • Turkish sucuk — halal-certified, slow-fermented and gently spiced. Used in The Tupac and The Spice.
  • Eggs, dairy, vegetables, sourdough — standard MOAK ingredients. Sourdough from Bakkerij Louf. Organic where possible.

  • MOAK Utrecht Neude — Vinkenburgstraat 15 (5 min Dom Tower, 10 min Utrecht Centraal). Daily 08:30–15:30.

Yes. Our BBQ shredded chicken is halal-certified and slow-cooked in BBQ sauce in-house, ready in every H-marked dish.

Is the Turkish sucuk halal?

Yes — the sucuk in The Tupac and The Spice is halal-certified.

Are the pancakes halal?

The batter is organic wholegrain wheat flour and organic buttermilk. The H marker on the menu confirms which combinations are halal.

Can I get a halal version of dishes that aren't marked H?

The team can advise on which dishes can be adapted. For example, swapping in halal chicken on a combination plate is sometimes possible — just ask when you order.

Where can I find halal pancakes in Amsterdam?

Yes — MOAK is open continuously 08:30 to 15:30 daily across all three locations. All H-marked dishes are available throughout opening hours.
